The Art of Repelling Water
How Ceramic Coating Creates a Hydrophobic Surface
You have probably heard the term "hydrophobic" thrown around in car commercials. In plain English, it just means "afraid of water." When we apply a ceramic coating to your vehicle, we are creating a surface that repels moisture.
On a normal, uncoated car, water spreads out flat. It clings to the surface, dries there, and leaves behind those annoying mineral spots. On a ceramic-coated car, water creates tight, tall beads. Because the surface is so smooth and slick, gravity takes over. Those beads roll right off the paint.
Here is the best part: as the water rolls off, it grabs dirt and dust and takes it along for the ride. This is what we call the "self-cleaning effect." We aren't saying you never have to wash your car again, but we are saying that driving in the rain actually helps wash your car rather than making it dirtier. When you do go to wash it, the dirt just falls off. No scrubbing required.

Matte paint looks great, but since you can't polish out scratches, prevention is crucial. It provides hydrophobic and chemical defense properties without adding gloss, so your matte car stays matte, just cleaner.
Areas Covered In PPF:

Wheel Ceramic Coating
Wheel Faces Only
- Starting At $400
Wheels Off (Including Calipers)
- Starting at $750
Wheels are the filthiest part of any car because brake dust eats into the finish of your rims. We coat the faces and barrels of your wheels with a high-heat resistant formula, making the surface so slick that brake dust can't stick to it. This means you can usually clean your wheels with just water and a mild soap, no harsh acid cleaners needed.
Offroad Ceramic Coating

Mud is fun until it’s time to clean up. That’s why we offer a specialized coating for Jeeps, trucks, and 4x4s that makes mud and grime easy to remove. Simply hose it down when you’re done off-roading, and the mud slides off effortlessly, thanks to the non-stick surface it creates for your off-road toys.
Gloss That Won't Quit
Making Your Car Look like It Was Dipped in Glass
We all love the look of a brand-new car. That deep, reflective finish that makes you want to stare at it. But factory clear coat isn't perfectly smooth. If you looked at it under a microscope, you would see tiny peaks and valleys. Those imperfections trap light and make the paint look a little duller than it could be.
Ceramic coating fills in those microscopic pores. It creates a perfectly flat surface over your clear coat. When light hits it, it doesn't get scattered; it reflects directly back at your eyes. This results in a depth of color and a level of gloss that wax simply cannot achieve.
Whether you drive a black sedan that you want to look like a mirror or a red sports car that you want to pop, this coating enhances the natural color of your paint. It gives it that "wet look" permanently. You don't have to spend hours buffing it every weekend to maintain that shine. It just stays that way.

The Benefits of Ceramic Coating

Stops the Sunburn (UV Damage)
You know how old cars start to look chalky and faded? That is oxidation caused by UV rays. The sun beats down on the clear coat and dries it out. Ceramic coating blocks those harmful rays from reaching your paint. It acts like a permanent sunscreen, keeping your color vibrant and preventing that ugly fading process.
Chemical Resistance
Bird droppings and bug splatter are acidic. If you leave them on your car for too long, they will etch right into the paint, leaving a permanent mark. A ceramic layer is chemically resistant. It creates a sacrificial barrier. When a bird decides your car is a target, the mess sits on the coating, not the paint. It wipes off easily without damaging the finish underneath.
Say Goodbye to Waxing
Wax is old technology. It sits on top of the paint and melts away in the heat or washes off with soap. You have to reapply it every few months. Ceramic coating forms a chemical bond with the paint. It hardens into a shell that lasts for years, not months. You can throw your tin of wax in the trash.
It’s Not Just for Show Cars
Who Actually Needs Ceramic Coating
There is a misconception that ceramic coating is only for people who own exotic sports cars that live in climate-controlled garages. While we do coat plenty of high-end vehicles, the people who actually benefit the most are the daily drivers.
The Daily Commuter
If you drive your car to work every day, it sees the most abuse. It sits in the sun in the parking lot. It drives through construction zones. It gets splashed by puddles. A daily driver needs a defense layer more than a garage queen does.
The Family Hauler
Minivans and SUVs take a beating. Between soccer practice, road trips, and the general chaos of family life, keeping the car clean is the last thing on your mind. A coated vehicle is easier to clean. When you spill juice or mud gets kicked up on the doors, it wipes right off.
The Lease Vehicle
If you lease your car, you are on the hook for excess wear and tear when you turn it in. A coating ensures the paint looks pristine at the end of your lease term, saving you from expensive penalties.

Answering Your Questions
Ceramic Coating FAQ’s
Does this prevent rock chips?
No. This is the biggest myth in the industry. Ceramic coating is a liquid hard shell, but it is not a force field. It cannot stop a rock traveling at 70 mph from chipping your paint. If you want defense against physical impact and rock chips, you need Paint Protection Film (PPF). We do that too, and we often combine the two for the ultimate shield.
Can I stop washing my car?
We wish. Your car will get dirty, but it will get dirty much slower, and cleaning it will be significantly easier. You won't need to scrub, and you won't need to wax. A simple maintenance wash is all it takes to make it look brand new again.
How long does it take to apply?
It’s not a quick process. We have to perfectly clean and prep the paint first (removing any existing scratches or swirls) because once the coating cures, whatever is underneath is locked in. Expect to leave your vehicle with us for at least 1-2 days depending on the condition of your paint.
Is it worth it for an older car?
Absolutely, provided the paint is in decent shape. We perform a paint correction (polishing) before applying the coating to remove swirls and oxidation. This can take a 5-year-old car and make it look better than it did on the showroom floor. It breathes new life into older vehicles.
Can I take it through a car wash?
You can, but please don't take it to those automatic washes with the spinning bristles. Those brushes are loaded with dirt from the truck that went in before you, and they will scratch your paint. A touchless wash is okay in a pinch, but hand washing is always the best way to maintain the coating’s performance.
