Beat the Heat and Save Your Skin

Why You Need Window Tint

The sun is relentless here in Pitt County. Without tint, your car's windows are just magnifying glasses heating up your dashboard and leather seats. High-quality window tint acts as a barrier, significantly reducing the interior temperature of your vehicle. This means your air conditioner doesn't have to work as hard, and you stop burning your legs on hot leather seats.

Beyond the heat, there is the issue of UV rays. We all know we should wear sunscreen at the beach, but we forget that we are getting blasted by the sun every time we drive to work. Our window film blocks 99% of harmful UV rays, protecting your skin from damage and preventing your car's interior from fading and cracking prematurely. It is a health investment for you and your car.

We Treat Your Car Like Our Own

The Signs & Tint Difference

You have probably seen bad tint jobs around Greenville. Bubbles everywhere, peeling corners, and dirt trapped under the film. That usually happens when you hire the guy doing it for twenty bucks in a dusty parking lot. We don't do that.

Our tint is installed in a controlled environment to minimize dust and debris getting under the film. Our installers are meticulously trained to cut the film to the exact size of your windows, meaning no nicks in your rubber seals or scratches on the glass. They also heat-shrink the film to match the curve of your windows perfectly. The result is a factory-quality finish that looks like it came with the car.

FAQ’s About Window Tint

  • Is window tint legal in Greenville, NC?

Yes, but there are limits. In North Carolina, sedans can legally have tint that allows 35% of light to pass through on all side and rear windows. SUVs and trucks can have any darkness on the rear windows, but the front two must still be 35%. We know the laws and will make sure your vehicle stays street legal so you don't get a ticket.

  • How long do I have to wait to roll my windows down?

We recommend waiting at least 3 to 5 days before rolling your windows down. The film needs time to cure and adhere to the glass. If you roll them down too soon, the film can peel or shift. It is hard to resist, we know, but patience pays off.

  • Will the tint bubble or turn purple?

Not with us. The "purple bubble" look comes from cheap, low-quality dyed films where the adhesive fails and the dye breaks down. We use premium carbon and ceramic films from XPEL that are backed by a manufacturer's warranty. They are designed to hold their color and stay stuck for the life of the film.

  • Does tint go on the inside or outside?

Window tint is always applied to the inside of the glass. You might see us working on the outside of the window during the process—that is just to heat-shrink and shape the film to match the curve of the glass. Once it is shaped, we move to the inside for the actual installation.

  • Can you tint over factory tint?

Technically, factory "tint" on trucks and SUVs is just darkened glass; it provides privacy but very little heat rejection. We can install our film over it to add heat protection and UV blocking. However, if you have aftermarket film (film that feels like a sticker), that needs to be removed before we can apply new tint.

  • How long does it take to tint a car?

For a standard sedan or truck, a full tint job usually takes about 2 to 4 hours. If we are doing just the front two windows, we can often knock that out in under an hour. We focus on quality over speed, so we take the time to get it right.
